Day 14 Reminders and Milestone Updates

We will continue to remind you about our upcoming milestone on Day 22!

We will be burying the contents of our first bucket which by now should have already finished Stage 2 fermentation.

DAILY TASKS:

  • Segregate different kinds of waste.

  • Bokashi your food scraps.

  • Wash collection tubs.

  • Keep Bokashi area clean and dry.


INFREQUENT BUT IMPORTANT TASKS:

  • Transfer food scraps from tubs to Bokashi Bucket.

  • 5 liters or every 3 days, whichever comes first.

  • Ensure that the buckets are not stuck together.

  • Seal and label Bokashi Bucket for Stage 2, Anaerobic Fermentation.

  • Harvest Bokashi Leachate every 2 days

  • Transition to Stage 3, Aerobic Decomposition.

  • Prepare Location and materials

  • Wash buckets.

  • how to bokashi leftover cooked food - stage 1 to stage 2

This time you can combine your RVF AND LOCF in your 2nd bucket.
