Our fervent Bokashi Advocates - Anna Luz, Vicky Uy and Roy Emmanuel Pajella - usually takes veggie scraps from the wet martket nearby their houses. Anna Luz resides in Valenzuela, Vicky resides in Isabela, while Roy resides in Paranaque. Suffice it to say, it does not matter whether you are in the city or in the province - you can still do bokashi and save the environment one balde at a time.
Just remember that the cabbage family (which is plentiful in wet market scraps) have plenty of ammonia.. so if this is what you are going for.. please mix it with paper . For every 5 kg of cabbage scraps, add and mix 3kg of shredded paper. And then Mix thoroughly with the bran.

And yet there are still communities having problems with their biodegradable waste and is just waiting for the government to solve all their problems. When in fact, they can start segregating and composting their biodegradable wastes first.
Why suffer in a depressing and dirty environment? When we can do something like this in every community?
But first, let us do our BIT first - this is something we can do on our own
