Feed the Soil Corporate Challenge
The soil crisis and the food waste crisis are two (2) problems that could probably cancel each other out, if only solutions are done holistically. History
Just before Christmas 2020, Ms Ting Rillo Cabalza joined the 30-day Garbage to Garden Challenge designed by Bokashi Pinoy for households. She became a Bokashi Pinoy Certified Practitioner in January 2021. At that time, Mentors Ninfa Castor, Lanie Francisco and Gianina Custodio are not aware that she is the Finance Program Manager of Coca-Cola Foundation.
She requested for a "private challenge" for her team. By February 2021, her boss Ms. Cecille Alcantara and her colleague Ms Jeanne Pineda and 18 other executives and employess of the Foundation joined the first ever - "Feed the Soil Corporate Challenge ".
The campaign was a success, so much so that they sponsored other organizations who are willing to join the challenge with a top to bottom approach. Coca-Cola Foundation and Bokashi Pinoy share the belief that a top to bottom approach in initiating Corporate Sustainability efforts while also fostering employee engagement from the ground up.
